CRR

Just like any other advertisement they want to represent how our product would be used in realistic scenarios. By producing a realistic commercial clip many things have to go into though. One how would this product be used in a real life scenario? Well due to our products versatile technology and functions we had multiple different examples we used. In this case we had a scene where I was running on a track, and getting my heart pumping, and especially showing off the products ability to capture the users heart rate. This in a way represents an interest in people who like running, or simply to check their heart rate. Another scenario that we came up with was style. With our products wide range of customizability we set up a scene in our commercial showing off the different available color bands. Our last scenario was an stress related one where our product used its ability to detect the users stress rate and tell the user to take a breath and calm down. Overall our product can rep

Final commercial

Finally the final product is here! It has been a fun and educational journey on a subject I didn't know to much about. Which was film making. Learning this skill wasn't simple and it took some time to fully get the grasp of. Firstly me and my group-mates started off wondering how we were even going to start this. We had a view on what we wanted to shoot. But not the idea on how we were going to shoot it. We had very little problems while shooting. It was by far the most fun and exciting part. We got to go out in our campus and have a good time shooting our commercial. The editing portion was the most educational part. Before this project we had no idea on how we would add the effects, music, and the scenes itself. Thankfully everything worked out and personally I liked how our commercial turned out.

Finishing the editing

Today we came to an end with our editing. With our school having PSAT's today we were working on limited time. Today me and my groupmates had a plan to execute that would guarantee that we would finish editing on time. After we got our music and effects down last class we planned on aligning the clips together. We first started with my clip, as said in a previous blog we had me running in the track with the apple watch. We wanted to align the music with the moment in the clip where I was started to run. Then we moved on to the rest of the clips that made up the scene. After we'd put them all together we realized that my scene alone would take too much time from the commercial so we realized we had to cut some clips up. We cut the clips but you could still understand the message we tried to get across. We had the Alejandro test clip next. As before realized we would have to cut his scene up too. Initially we had a scene where Alejandro would get his test scores back but we had

Starting the editing!

We began editing our advertisement today. The majority of the technical editing was absorbed by it. This included copying films and photos to the laptop, which took a considerable amount of time. We tried airdropping them all at once, but that didn't work, and then we tried texting them to Demaine, but that didn't work either. We also attempted emailing everything to Demaine, but my phone claimed it was too large a file. Finally, I had to air drop them to my laptop one by one. That took up the most of my class time, but once I finished, I began aligning all of my images and movies in the editing program. After it was sorted up, we began on the hunt for some appropriate background music and sound effects for my commercial. This was the most stressful phase since we were trying to figure out which songs we wanted to utilize while attempting to figure out which music we wanted to use. However, after discussing what would be ideal, my group and I came up with two tunes and three d

Back to filming

Today we finalized our production. Alejandro, Demaine and I went out to finalize the scenes we needed. Which was to first show off different styles/colors of the watch bands. And lastly to shoot the final shot showing off the watch in its glory. To shoot the first shot we initially had the though of shooting multiple different scenes of our groupmate Demaine walking, and as he took each step the color of the band would switch (which we would've touched up on during editing). We had many takes on this but it wouldn't look right. There would always be a problem, one time the lighting didn't line up in the different takes and it looked strange, this other time our cameraman Alejandro wouldn't hold the camera in the same angle and that completely ruined the shot. So we ended up scratching it and filmed it a different way. We kept thinking on what we would do, we wanted to keep the same idea with interchanging bands. So we came up with the new idea of having the watch in on
