First film day

 I was buzzing with excitement as I headed over to Nicole's house to film our short movie project with my friend Jordyn. We had spent weeks planning everything out, and after all the setbacks I couldn't wait to see it all come together. As soon as we arrived, Nicole welcome us warmly and showed us around her backyard, which was the perfect location for our shoot. We quickly got to work setting up the cameras, checking the lighting making sure everything was just right. Jordyn took on the role of the lead actress for a lot of the time, while I directed the shots and Nicole managed the equipment. We had rehearsed the scenes beforehand, so we knew exactly what we wanted to capture on camera. Then for one scene we went to put on makeup for Jordyn. Filming day was filled with laughter, camaraderie, and creativity. We experimented with different camera angles, improvised some of the dialogue, and even had a few bloopers along the way. Despite some unexpected challenges, such as the sun moving in and out of the clouds, we managed to capture some fantastic footage. As we wrapped up the shoot, we high-fived each other and took a moment to appreciate the hard work we had put in. The rest of the day was spent reviewing the footage and discussing our next steps. We were all thrilled with how everything had turned out, and we couldn't wait to start editing the film. As I left Nicole's house that evening, I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Genre Research: Comedy

  My group and I are also researching comedy. As much as we want action, we also need to laugh. A comedy would also be a lot easier for us since we can just be ourselves. Comedy movies have a lot of close- ups, pans, long shots, and zooms. Close ups allow you to lead your audience into a more intimate setting. You can literally bring your audience closer to the action. And it emphasizes the importance of what we see. But as the push continues, it all breaks, letting viewers know they're watching a comedy movie.Long shots  give an overall context to the scene and usually lets viewers know that what we’re seeing right now isn’t the whole picture... until it zooms all the way out. Static shots, or stand still shots, build suspense. In comedy movies it allows room for the characters to correct themselves or something, Almost like a "wait for it" moment.    Props Being that our commercial is an Apple Watch commercial, our main prop will be the Apple Watch. However we will also have different color Apple Watch bands as well as props aswell Costumes We have came up with these costumes to flow with the message we are trying to portray of the apple watch within that scene. Therefore, two of us will be exempliying the athletics perks of the Apple Watch, by wearing athletic clothing, to show the health and workout benefits of the watch. Another scene will include one of us wearing a really nice outfit, which may include, but is not limited to a nice shirt, jeans and some nice shows. This will help show the customization part of the watch and how stylist it can be and easy access it can. Film review changes

My group and I worked on our film in class. We talked about what modifications we thought needed to be made before we started. My colleagues and I showed our video to strangers last week. They offered us their feedback on how they liked our film and what modifications they thought should be made once they had seen it. We reviewed which adjustments we could and couldn't change as the group went around discussing what changes they were told to make. Many users claimed that the sound was an issue, and that it was difficult to hear specific parts of the actor or actress. Damaine did his best to improve the volume, but it couldn't be adjusted completely without re-filming everything. The editing was also brought to our attention as a concern. We'd have to fix it because some people thought it looked choppy. Damaine corrected what he could as the rest of the crew and I stood behind him, watching what he was doing.
