Planning our short movie

 Location - After some thorough thinking we decided to record our short movie in our group members house Nicole. Before choosing we had to keep in mind a couple of factors, firstly the story beig told cant be just in any random scenario and after visiting it one time we decided Niccole's house has a good environment and street structure to carry out our production.


Participants - When I began to write out our participants I solely though of our acting cast, but my groupmate Pedro said that we also had to think about the people helping in all aspects of our short movie, and after thinking about it he was completely right, so here is our full list: Pedro, Jordyn, Nicole, Nicole's mom, Nicole's Policia, and Felipe. This basically summarized our whole working production group.


Health/Safety - Our squad chose to wear masks the entire time, except from when filming, in order to provide the safest and most protected filming atmosphere possible. In addition, we will be tested for covid-19 after each filming session. Last but not least, a first aid kit will be on site throughout the entire filming process to further guarantee our safety.


Schedule - As we anticipate finishing the short film very fast, we will only be filming a small number of times. Our primary filming dates are 1/27–1/28, and if additional time is required, we'll film the weekend of 2/5.


Backup plan - If things don't go as planned, we have several backup plans in place, including the option of filming the movie at any of our group members' homes other than Nicole's. We also have Nicole's brother to fill in for the cameraman.5 Project-Planning Tips to Help You Meet Your Goals

Genre Research: Comedy

  My group and I are also researching comedy. As much as we want action, we also need to laugh. A comedy would also be a lot easier for us since we can just be ourselves. Comedy movies have a lot of close- ups, pans, long shots, and zooms. Close ups allow you to lead your audience into a more intimate setting. You can literally bring your audience closer to the action. And it emphasizes the importance of what we see. But as the push continues, it all breaks, letting viewers know they're watching a comedy movie.Long shots  give an overall context to the scene and usually lets viewers know that what we’re seeing right now isn’t the whole picture... until it zooms all the way out. Static shots, or stand still shots, build suspense. In comedy movies it allows room for the characters to correct themselves or something, Almost like a "wait for it" moment.    Props Being that our commercial is an Apple Watch commercial, our main prop will be the Apple Watch. However we will also have different color Apple Watch bands as well as props aswell Costumes We have came up with these costumes to flow with the message we are trying to portray of the apple watch within that scene. Therefore, two of us will be exempliying the athletics perks of the Apple Watch, by wearing athletic clothing, to show the health and workout benefits of the watch. Another scene will include one of us wearing a really nice outfit, which may include, but is not limited to a nice shirt, jeans and some nice shows. This will help show the customization part of the watch and how stylist it can be and easy access it can. Film review changes

My group and I worked on our film in class. We talked about what modifications we thought needed to be made before we started. My colleagues and I showed our video to strangers last week. They offered us their feedback on how they liked our film and what modifications they thought should be made once they had seen it. We reviewed which adjustments we could and couldn't change as the group went around discussing what changes they were told to make. Many users claimed that the sound was an issue, and that it was difficult to hear specific parts of the actor or actress. Damaine did his best to improve the volume, but it couldn't be adjusted completely without re-filming everything. The editing was also brought to our attention as a concern. We'd have to fix it because some people thought it looked choppy. Damaine corrected what he could as the rest of the crew and I stood behind him, watching what he was doing.
