Introduction blog

 Hello my name is Pedro Ribeiro. It has been a great year so far, all these projects we've worked on so far in the year have helped me hone my skills in many different areas of media studies. Firstly the commercial helped introduce me to the concept of this course, filming the silly little commercial helped me grasp the production aspect of filming anything, and the planning that goes into a project like this. The music video is where I saw most improvement, with less dependency on groupmates  I learned how to independently plan, and direct these types of video projects. But most importantly I learned how to edit a video well, in this music video, some of the scenes were not shot well and didn't represent what I imagined. But the power of editing made it almost effortless to get these scenes how you'd imagined them. These experiences will make it so this final task will be based off my best ability to construct this movie. I am really excited to start a new project and one of this size even, this will be by far the biggest project we've worked on all year and I'm up for the challenge. This last task will not only challenge tasks I am comfortable and familiar in but it will also challenge tasks I know very little about, and that is what makes me most excited for this project. Things like the title design, and title scene is something I'm not too familiar at all with and it'll be interesting to see how me and my group will deal with these unknown obstacles yet. What I am most excited about though is going to be filming and producing this movie. This is the largest amount of time we've had to make something and I want to make a good movie. So this will be the chance to prove to myself that I can make something good and that i can make it right. All in all I am overly excited to get started in all this and I can't wait to move forward in this.
