My group and I worked on our film in class. We talked about what modifications we thought needed to be made before we started. My colleagues and I showed our video to strangers last week. They offered us their feedback on how they liked our film and what modifications they thought should be made once they had seen it. We reviewed which adjustments we could and couldn't change as the group went around discussing what changes they were told to make. Many users claimed that the sound was an issue, and that it was difficult to hear specific parts of the actor or actress. Damaine did his best to improve the volume, but it couldn't be adjusted completely without re-filming everything. The editing was also brought to our attention as a concern. We'd have to fix it because some people thought it looked choppy. Damaine corrected what he could as the rest of the crew and I stood behind him, watching what he was doing. He also edited out certain sections that we thought were unneeded ...
Today we came to an end with our editing. With our school having PSAT's today we were working on limited time. Today me and my groupmates had a plan to execute that would guarantee that we would finish editing on time. After we got our music and effects down last class we planned on aligning the clips together. We first started with my clip, as said in a previous blog we had me running in the track with the apple watch. We wanted to align the music with the moment in the clip where I was started to run. Then we moved on to the rest of the clips that made up the scene. After we'd put them all together we realized that my scene alone would take too much time from the commercial so we realized we had to cut some clips up. We cut the clips but you could still understand the message we tried to get across. We had the Alejandro test clip next. As before realized we would have to cut his scene up too. Initially we had a scene where Alejandro would get his test scores back but we had ...
My group and I are also researching comedy. As much as we want action, we also need to laugh. A comedy would also be a lot easier for us since we can just be ourselves. Comedy movies have a lot of close- ups, pans, long shots, and zooms. Close ups allow you to lead your audience into a more intimate setting. You can literally bring your audience closer to the action. And it emphasizes the importance of what we see. But as the push continues, it all breaks, letting viewers know they're watching a comedy movie.Long shots give an overall context to the scene and usually lets viewers know that what we’re seeing right now isn’t the whole picture... until it zooms all the way out. Static shots, or stand still shots, build suspense. In comedy movies it allows room for the characters to correct themselves or something, Almost like a "wait for it" moment. Zooms emphasize expressions shown throughout the film. Props used in comedy films range from nothing to everything- like a t...
